I’m Ava, a 20-year-old Nashville-based photographer. I grew up playing sports — basketball, soccer, volleyball, you name it. Traveling for games was a huge part of my life, and most of my closest friends were my teammates. I’ve always loved being around people and creating memories. As a kid, I was constantly making videos, taking pictures, and editing them for fun (some might say a little too often).

I fell in love with photography after I asked my mom for a camera to start a YouTube channel. What started as a way to film my friends quickly turned into something I never saw coming — a passion for freezing time and telling stories through images. I’ve always loved putting myself out there, meeting new people, and connecting with all different kinds of personalities. I’ve never cared where someone’s from or what they believe — I truly think every person deserves to feel welcome and seen.

That’s the whole heart behind Ava Renee Photography — to build a space that’s warm, genuine, and inclusive. Whether your wedding is small and intimate or grand and detailed, it holds the same value to me. I’m not a corporate, overly-strict type of photographer. I’ll treat you like a friend, help wherever I can (yes, even if that means picking up your cake on the way), and make sure your day feels easy and joyful.

Some things I love: I’m completely addicted to coffee and will always ask the barista for their favorite drink wherever I go. I’m a Gilmore Girls girl through and through — my mom and I have watched it together for years. I’m a sucker for a good movie series — Twilight, Hunger Games, Divergent — and if your wedding has any Twilight forest vibes, you better text me right now. I’m a huge animal lover with two dogs and two cats, I’m very family-oriented, and I’m happiest when I’m around good people and good energy.
